Terms of membership

These terms govern your membership of Williams Academy, operated as a Williams Corporation initiative ("we", "us"). By joining, you agree to them. They are governed by New Zealand law.

Membership and billing

Membership costs $69 NZD per month, or $690 NZD per year, billed in advance on a recurring basis through our payment provider. All prices are in New Zealand dollars and include GST. Payment is taken when you join, and again on each renewal date, so your first payment is charged at sign-up rather than after a trial period. Founding members who joined before 5 October 2026 keep their founding rate, $49 monthly or $490 annually, for as long as their subscription remains active, even if the standard price changes for new members. Your subscription continues until you cancel. You can cancel at any time inside the member dashboard, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You keep access until then.

If a renewal payment fails, we will attempt it again and let you know. Access may be suspended while a payment is outstanding, and if the subscription lapses, the founding rate is no longer held and rejoining is at the price current at that time.

Refunds

Your first 7 days from joining are fully refundable, no questions asked, covering everything you have paid. Full details, including how to claim, are in our refund policy. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.

What membership includes

Access to the Williams Academy course library, new courses as they release, live member Q&A sessions and their replays, the member community, and the podcast archive. We intend to release new courses regularly and to run live sessions regularly. Release dates, frequency, and the order of the course programme may change, and we may update, replace, or retire individual lessons or sessions. The substance of what you pay for will not be reduced without notice.

Educational content, not advice

Williams Academy provides general business education drawn from the experience of Williams Corporation and its founders. It is general information only. It is not financial advice, investment advice, legal advice, or accounting advice, and it does not take your personal circumstances into account. Business carries risk, outcomes depend on your decisions and conditions, and no result is promised or guaranteed. Take independent professional advice before acting on anything significant.

Live sessions are recorded

Live member Q&A sessions are recorded, and the recordings are published to the member library and may also be used in Williams Academy marketing and promotional material. By joining a live session you agree to be recorded. If you speak, appear on camera, or submit a question, you give us permission to include that contribution in the recording and in any edited extract of it, without payment to you and without a time limit. If you would rather not appear, attend with your camera and microphone off and submit questions in writing, or watch the replay instead, and tell us at hello@williamscorporation.co.nz if you have a concern about a session you have already attended.

We run live sessions regularly. We may reschedule a session, change its format or frequency, or have someone other than Matthew Horncastle host it where circumstances require, and we will tell members in advance where we can.

Your account and conduct

Your membership is personal to one named individual. Your login is yours alone: do not share it, disclose your password, or let anyone else use your account, including colleagues, staff, family, or business partners. Each person who needs access requires their own paid membership. We monitor for shared use, including simultaneous logins from different locations, and we may suspend or terminate an account we reasonably believe is being shared.

Do not record, screen-capture, download, resell, or redistribute course content, worksheets, or Q&A sessions. Treat what other members share in the community as confidential, because members discuss real financial and business information, and do not repeat it outside the community or use it against them commercially. Do not use the community to solicit, spam, or recruit members for other programmes or services. Deal with other members honestly and respectfully.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that breach these terms. Where we end a membership for convenience, we refund any unused whole months. Where we end it for a breach of these terms, no refund is due beyond what the law requires.

Who can join

Williams Academy is written for people running or starting a business, and the material assumes an adult working context. You need to be at least 16 to hold a membership. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf and be responsible for payment, and we may ask for confirmation of that before granting or continuing access.

Your privacy

Running your membership means your personal information passes through the providers that operate the Academy, including Circle, Stripe and HubSpot, and some of them store and process information outside New Zealand, including in the United States. Our privacy policy sets out what we collect, who holds it, why, and your rights under the Privacy Act 2020. By joining, you agree to your information being handled that way.

Intellectual property

All course content, tools, worksheets, video, and audio remain the property of Williams Academy and its licensors. You may use the tools and templates in your own business; you may not republish or commercialise them.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, and without limiting the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 where it applies, our total liability in connection with your membership is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change materially affects you, we will notify members before it takes effect. Questions about these terms: hello@williamscorporation.co.nz.
